Self-Employed and Contractor Mortgages Whether you are a sole trader, partnership or trading via a limited company we can help. We have extensive experience in placing funding for the “self-employed”, especially Contractors in the Oil and Gas Industry In general, lenders require at least 2 years trading history with 2 years’ accounts to lend up to 95% loan to value (LTV) for residential lending. If you have one year’s trading behind you, loans between 80% and 90% LTV may be available subject to certain criteria. Mortgages for Contractors are more specialised, if you have been trading for more than 12 months you may be eligible for a loan up to 95% of the value of your property. We have direct access to lenders who offer mortgages to contractors often at enhanced rates.
